They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. We''''re looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer/Specialist to join our Athabasca OSB Division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta . This state-of-the-art facility has the longest continuous press in North America , giving us the ability to produce a diverse range of innovative products for customers around the world. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience, an Engineering degree , or an Engineering Technical Diploma . 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred). Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred). Experience with Human Machine Interfaces. Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.). Experience with industrial machine automation.
