POSITION SUMMARY The Cloud Architect plays a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highperforming cloud solutions that enable Adastras clients to accelerate their data, AI, and digital transformation journeys. This role is responsible for developing cloud architecture frameworks, leading solution design, and guiding implementation teams to ensure successful delivery. The Cloud Architect collaborates closely with crossfunctional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust cloud architectures that are aligned with industry best practices and longterm strategic goals. Overview Primary Location: Across Canada Work Model: Hybrid 2Days Onsite Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Vacancy Status: Pipeline Requisition Compensation Range: CAD 100,000 150,000/yr base salary Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement cloud architectures across major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) Lead endtoend solution design, including reference architectures, integration patterns, security controls, and governance frameworks Assess current client environments and recommend modernization strategies aligned with business goals Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout project delivery Conduct cloud assessments, architecture reviews, and performance optimizations Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical roadmaps Drive adoption of cloud best practices, automation, cost optimization, and operational excellence Ensure cloud architectures meet compliance, security, scalability, and availability standards Participate in presales activities, including solutioning, estimation, and client presentations Stay current with emerging cloud technologies to continuously enhance solution offerings Qualifications, Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of handson experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering roles Strong practical knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) Expertise in infrastructureascode (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) Experience with cloud networking, security, identity management, and governance Proficiency in designing scalable, highly available, and resilient distributed systems Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks Ability to lead technical discussions and architect largescale enterprise solutions Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills Preferred Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) Experience with data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI/ML workloads in the cloud Background in modernization initiatives such as data migration, containerization, serverless, or application refactoring Familiarity with FinOps disciplines and costoptimization strategies Nice To Have Experience working in consulting or clientfacing environments Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, PCI) Handson experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration Understanding of cloud landing zone frameworks and enterprise cloud patterns About Adastra Adastra is a global leader in AI and datadriven transformation, helping organizations lead with artificial intelligenceresponsibly, strategically, and at scale.
