Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid) Key Accountabilities Maintain the FRACAS process and its associated tools Monitor the hardware reliability of the hardware systems in the field Maintain a table with all the hardware returns from the field and the reason for the returns Prepare and run the monthly meeting of the Failure Review Board Review and maintain the Reliability monitoring process Conduct root cause analyses of failed hardware as required by stakeholders Work closely with the groups in HEM Engineering to coordinate the activities related to the root cause analyses and reliability monitoring Key Requirements 7+ years of electronics design and troubleshooting experience Strong knowledge of: Cabling Grounding techniques Surge Protection Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering principles: Power circuits design Analog and digital electronic circuits, including digital processors Serial communications circuits Proficient in using engineering tools such as: Multimeters Oscilloscopes Protocol Analyzers Excellent analytical skills Ability to design, simulate, and test electronic circuits Excellent verbal skills to allow clear communication without ambiguity Excellent writing skills to allow documents to be prepared in a clear and concise format with sufficient information so that further clarification is not required The ability to follow directions and work instructions, and to use good judgment in the performance of assigned work The ability to present pros and cons for various courses of action Tracks progress on all assigned tasks Verifies that all assigned work has been completed accurately Bachelors degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of electronics design experience, with a proven track record Outstanding electrical/electronics troubleshooting skills Design experience in the Railway Signalling industry Comprehensive knowledge of the SelTrack hardware products Devising and running tests to verify functionality, identify and solve problems Excellent understanding of the train interfaces and train operations Familiar with train maintenance, train components, subsystems, and various train designs from different manufacturers Strong initiative, resourcefulness, and breadth of knowledge beyond the primary discipline in solving problems PEO Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Total Compensation Range $137,954 - $155,641 Benefits Health, Dental and Vision plans 100% of premiums are companypaid Retirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting period Company paid holidays 3 weeks of vacation, holiday closure, personal emergency leave days and sick days Maternity/Parental/Adoption topup pay Annual Incentive plan Company provided Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance Plan This posting relates to an existing vacancy.
