Job Overview The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Aircraft Avionics integrator to join our Chief Engineering team based in Mirabel (Qubec, Canada). You will be part of the Chief Engineering team responsible for carrying full technical authority and responsibility for the aircraft design in compliance with airworthiness regulations, product and passenger safety, environmental protection, aircraft operability, design maturity, security and airport operations requirements. Responsibilities Defining aircraft requirements and objectives for design modifications of Avionics Systems to obtain an optimum overall product and ensuring engineering solutions comply with these requirements throughout the design process. Defining and ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions to satisfy safety, customer and program requirements. Assisting customer support in defining rootcause, mitigations and solutions to system issues affecting performance. Providing decisions on design and technology tradeoffs in the best interest of the overall product strategy. Guiding and motivating engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions and modifications on schedule and in compliance with product requirements. Providing technical leadership for largescale initiatives when assigned, ensuring the development can be executed in line with technical and program objectives. Working with Program teams to assign and manage priorities for engineering development. Qualifications Bachelor or Master in Engineering or equivalent field. 5 years or more experience in aviation Avionics Systems design or integration. Ability to lead transverse technical and crossfunctional teams and to challenge technical solutions. Proven experience working with customer support and supply chain personnel to understand crossfunctional interactions in the Systems perimeter. Capability to present solutions and plans to senior management and customers. Awareness of systems development process, interactions with airframe design and technical disciplines, and airworthiness compliance process.
