The Category Management Supply Chain team is accountable for developing and implementing strategies for key categories that account for over 80% of BC Hydros annual $2billion expenditures. The Senior Category Lead will manage the Power Transformers category (~$400M/year of spend) and lead crossfunctional teams to develop, implement, and sustain longterm category strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead crossfunctional teams to develop, implement, and sustain longterm category strategies for Power Transformers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize supply and logistics models and the fuelsupply network across operations. Develop and implement complex supply and logistics models, and a futurefocused procurement initiative for the AMI category. Manage multiple, complex categories with minimal daytoday managerial support, providing coaching and mentorship to team members. Ensure category plans address risks, anticipate future trends, and uphold performance objectives. HighLevel Outcomes Assigned categories operate to meet performance objectives and approved strategies. Develop and implement category strategies, sourcing, business process improvements, SRM, benefitrealization plans, and contract support. Serve as a Category Expert, understanding BC Hydros current and future requirements and the supply market. Contribute to sustaining and advancing BC Hydros categorymanagement framework and processes. Minimum 8years of strategiclevel business experience or equivalent (strong categorymanagement experience within a large, complex organization preferred). Experience planning and managing multiple complex, large projects with ambitious deadlines. Highly skilled in change management with excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship, and coalitionbuilding skills. Experience leading crossfunctional teams in a complex business environment. Quick learner, accountable influencer, planning & projectmanagement oriented.
