Base pay range CA$75,000.00/yr - CA$85,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from TELUS Digital About the Role As a Senior System Administrator at TELUS Digital, you will play a critical role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise storage infrastructure. You will support highavailability systems, ensure data reliability, and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient technology solutions for our business. Key Responsibilities Manage, administer, and optimize enterprise storage systems with a primary focus on NetApp ONTAP and NetApp StorageGRID. Perform endtoend storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Implement and maintain data protection, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions across storage platforms. Monitor and analyze storage performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to support business requirements and project implementations. Support routine operational activities, including firmware upgrades, patching, configuration management, and health checks. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and architectural diagrams. Ensure storage systems adhere to TELUS security, compliance, and governance standards. Required Skills & Experience 56 years of handson experience as a Storage Administrator or System Administrator specializing in enterprise storage platforms. Strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Solid experience with NetApp StorageGRID for object storage operations and data lifecycle management. Strong understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, and S3compatible object storage. Proficiency in storage monitoring, incident management, and performance analytics. Good understanding of data protection strategies, backup/restore processes, snapshots, replication, and DR solutions. NicetoHave Skills Experience administering SAN switches (Brocade or Cisco). Knowledge of Fibre Channel, zoning, and fabric management. Familiarity with broader data infrastructure technologies and operational insights. Experience with automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible). Who You Are A proactive, detailoriented technologist with solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
