We operate in a complex environment, with ministries serving in varied contexts across Canada and in multiple global locations. That complexity requires thoughtful stewardship, disciplined oversight, and integrated systems. Senior Advisor, Stewardship & Accountability provides governancelevel support to the CFO function exercised through the Presidents Office by the Executive Director of Operations + Fund Capacity. This role adds experienced discernment and seniorlevel accounting capacity, in areas that extend beyond daytoday nancial operations and require systems thinking, risk awareness, and crossfunctional integration. This role complements the work of the Finance team, but sits outside of its operational scope. It supports strategic nancial capacity during a season of modernization and growth. Role Description This work to be done initially through the Tech Stack Modernization initiative (working as part of the Task Force) and ongoing in future through continual systems optimization. - Support and help coordinate the replacement of P2Cs ERP in alignment with the approved project roadmap and P2Cs new systems architecture - Work collaboratively with P2Cs Finance team and other stakeholders to ensure thorough requirements gathering leading to a wise software selection, and subsequently a strong implementation with the support of internal and external partners - Support the Financial Controller in ensuring that internal controls are maintained in the midst of software migration Objective 2: Support the oversight of P2Cs annual budget cycle ensuring it facilitates disciplined nancial planning and stewardship - Create, modify, monitor, and review budgets and the organizations consolidated budget roll up as needed - Track progress towards budgeted income and expenses in order to forecast yearend projections - Support leaders in effective budget management digging into actuals, offering coaching, training, and advisory support Objective 3: Ensure international funding relationships reect effective direction and control ensuring alignment with CRA charitable requirements - Coordinate with the various teams who facilitate aspects of P2Cs processes for exercising direction and control - Conduct periodic internal reviews/audits of agency agreements reviewing reports, validating the accounting of receipts, advising on the status of agreements - Provide guidance to ministry leaders as they establish new agency agreements and initiate associated projects, increasing their ability to follow P2Cs processes for maintaining direction and control Other Responsibilities: - Active participation in weekly corporate chapel and semiannual prayer days - Engage in special projects related to stewardship and risk as needed such as: - Investigating new compliance requirements - Reviewing policy adjustments - Contributing to crossfunctional problemsolving initiatives - Other special projects as they arise The Senior Advisor will serve as a strategic partner, extending leaderships capacity to strengthen governance of nancial stewardship and may be deployed to lead or contribute to special projects as organizational priorities require.
