Responsibilities - Test, troubleshoot, and repair transmitters, switches, and control valves - Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments - Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers - Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments - Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement - Repair faulty equipment or systems - Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts - Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities - Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively with the team - Good written and verbal communication skills - Focus on customer satisfaction Qualifications - Journeyman Instrumentation ticket - Experience working turnaround(s) or construction in an operating Petro Chemical facility - Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a SAGD, or Oil and Gas Facility - Valid government-issued photo ID - CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific) - Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive - Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection - Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry Monitor - Energy Safety Canada Aerial Work Platform - Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts - Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively - Good written and verbal communication skills - Focus on customer satisfaction - Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing Working Conditions - Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions - Working in and around noise and dust - Working at heights - Working in a confined space - Must be clean shaven - Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots Physical Requirements - Stand or walk for long periods of time - Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time - Ability to lift up to 50kg - Climbing stairs/ladders regularly - Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools Who We Are Stuart Olson has been positively impacting the businesses we serve, the communities in which we operate, and the lives we touch since 1911.
