HR Administrator RNS Health Care Services Inc. RNS Health Care is currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our team and support the daily operations of our Labour Relations department. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable navigating complex employee matters with professionalism and discretion. About the Role As the Human Resources Administrator, you will report directly to the HR Business Partner and serve as the first point of contact for all Labour Relationsrelated inquiries. You will play a key role in administering attendance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, grievances, and collective bargaining support. This role requires a strong understanding of HR legislation, collective agreements, and company policies, along with the ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong phone etiquette and excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position involves regular interaction with employees, managers, and union representatives. Clear, professional, and tactful communication is essential. Who We are Looking For - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies - Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities - Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills - Comfortable participating in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and negotiations - Strong writing skills for drafting correspondence, reports, and employment documentation - Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment A Day-to-Day Look at the Role - Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and escalating complex issues as needed - Administer the attendance management program, including tracking absences, collecting medical documentation, updating internal systems, and managing time-off approvals - Manage leave of absence requests, return-to-work processes, and related documentation; investigate inactive field staff cases - Coordinate and administer the job abandonment process from initiation through termination documentation - Administer accommodation requests, review documentation, and ensure eligibility requirements are met - Attend and support disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, and grievance processes for unionized field staff - Assist with collective bargaining preparation, research, meeting coordination, and minute-taking - Support supervisors with probationary and annual performance review processes - Prepare regular time-off usage and balance reports, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrections - Draft memoranda, policies, job descriptions, reports, proposals, and other HR documentation as requested - Monitor legislative compliance and HR best practices, recommending policy updates where appropriate - Provide backup support to the HR Coordinator and Receptionist during absences or peak periods - Participate in professional development and support ongoing HR projects What You Will Need to Succeed - Post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources or a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management - Ability to read, interpret, and apply employment legislation and collective agreements - Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail - Experience supporting employee relations processes including attendance management, accommodations, investigations, and performance management - Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment - Ability to manage conflicting demands and maintain composure in sensitive situations - Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset About Us RNS Health Care Services Inc. is an accredited organization of professionals providing concerned, competent and compassionate health care services within our community since 1985.
