Contract AdvisorLocation: Calgary, ABTerm: 1 year contract IntroductionBrunel is currently seeking a Contract Advisor to provide procurement expertise and support to our clients Conventional Business Unit managing all capital project related pre-award and post award procurement activities. This role will support all Projects requirements of services and equipment, be responsible for the lifecycle of the contracts within the portfolio. This includes the development of the sourcing strategy in consultation with various stakeholders, the execution of the agreed strategy, and the post-award performance management of the contracts. The incumbent will be responsible for handling the day-to-day contract maintenance and administration in accordance with company requirements. This role will include informal leadership guidance from SCM Managers as part of the day-to-day activities in supporting the Operations team.ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement best practices for sourcing activities, ensuring these practices are in accordance with COIMS, Company Procurement Policy, and all relevant regulations.Develop Project specific Contracting Strategies, Execution Plans, and Contract Administration Plans.Manage scope specific pre-award procurement matters including contract strategies, pre-qualifications, bid evaluations, negotiations, award, and contract formation.Manage post award contract management including contract changes, dispute resolution, claims management, and close-outs.Ensure adherence by the Projects team and contractors to business processes, procedures, and goals, as well as compliance plans, contract terms.Mitigate residual commercial risk through proactive scope and contract management.Ensure all Procurement documentation is stored in the appropriate Contract Management Systems in accordance with the Procurement Information Plan.Interface with project controls on cost, performance, progress assessment, payments, reporting, and trends to support post award contract management.Liaise and consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) from Legal, Risk Management, HSE, QA/QC, etc. in support of pre and post award commercial activities.Provide guidance and peer assistance to other team members.Liaise with the business, market intelligence team and stakeholders to identify market risks or opportunities.Support COIMS E11 compliance.
