Product Packaging Designer(Part-Time, Contract)ABOUT THE ROLEWere looking for an experienced Product Packaging Designer to support ongoing and upcoming product launches across our cosmetics and personal care portfolio. This role is highly executional, detail-driven, and deeply embedded in the product development process from early concepting through final print-ready files.Youll own packaging design across primary and secondary formats, collaborate closely with Product, Brand, and external vendors, and be relied on for fast, accurate updates when timelines are tight.This is an ongoing, part-time partnership with flexible workload, reporting into the VP of Product Development and working closely with our Product Project Manager and Chief of Brand.QUALIFICATIONS:To excel in this role, you should have:Develop packaging design roadmaps and creative concepts for new product launches, including primary and secondary packagingDesign and update packaging files across multiple formats, including boxes, jars, bottles, tubes, and custom componentsCreate branded sample packaging and adapt existing dielines as neededPrepare and upload final, approved artwork to Greenlight, ensuring correct version codes and file accuracyDeliver final print-ready files in accordance with production and vendor specificationsCreate mockups and visual representations for internal review, presentations, and approvalsProduce 3D renders of packaging concepts for digital visualization and internal useMaintain a highly organized file system so packaging assets are easy to reference, update, and versionReference key documentation to ensure accuracy, including copy spreadsheets, packaging agendas, and Jira ticketsAttend weekly project check-in meetings with the Product teamSupport urgent packaging updates when needed, typically with a 24-hour turnaround for high-priority changesCollaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, printers, and external vendors to ensure smooth executionWhat Were Looking ForProven experience designing primary and secondary packaging for cosmetics or personal care productsStrong understanding of print production, dielines, packaging materials, and production constraintsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopExperience with 3D rendering software is a plusExceptional attention to detail, organization, and version controlHighly responsive and comfortable working in fast-moving, deadline-driven environmentsStrong collaborator who communicates clearly with both creative and technical stakeholdersComfortable working autonomously while staying aligned with broader product and brand timelinesPackaging Types Youll Work OnBoxesJarsBottlesTubesCustom packaging componentsEngagement DetailsFreelance / Part-Time ContractUp to 20 hours per weekOngoing partnership with flexible workloadMust be available for short-notice updates when requiredFully remote
