The Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure efficient inventory management. The role involves coordinating supply chain activities, monitoring deliveries, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting logistical challenges and collaborating with various departments to optimize operations.ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials managementOversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management system (WMS) to optimize logistics workflowsCoordinate procurement activities, sourcing, and pricing strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisionsManage freight arrangements and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL)Implement process improvements utilizing data analysis skills to enhance efficiency and reduce costsOversee inventory accuracy through CMMS, ERP systems such as AS400, and other warehouse software toolsEnsure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, packaging, and warehouse proceduresCollaborate with demand planning teams to align supply chain activities with forecasted needsMonitor shipping & delivery schedules to meet customer expectations for order fulfillmentMaintain documentation related to transportation, procurement, and warehouse activities for audit purposesQualificationsProven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics supervisionStrong knowledge of warehouse management systemsExperience with procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, and demand planningFamiliarity with freight logistics, 3PL partnerships, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment proceduresProficiency in data analysis skills for process improvement initiativesHands-on experience with CMMS software and materials management practicesAbility to operate or oversee forklift operations safely; warehouse experience preferredExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process documentationStrong communication skills for team leadership and cross-department collaboration
