Vice President, Supply Chain & Logistics Markham, Ontario Reporting to the General Manager of Clover Leaf Seafoods, this position: Leads the Canadian Logistics and Customer Supply team of 10 people (3 direct reports) across Domestic and International business units. Ensures the flow of goods from manufacturing to DC to customers while maintaining strong order fill rates. Oversees managed services of Warehousing and Transportation (domestic & international). Supports the Canadian Manufacturing plant in New Brunswick with ocean freight imports of raw materials, outside warehouse storage (3 PLs) and outbound shipping. Supports Commercial initiatives and growth targets through a strong operational foundation. As part of the executive team, this role will balance day to day operational excellence with long-term transformation-driving efficiency and stability across our network. Acts as a change agent. Demonstrate the ability to review, analyze and enhance the capabilities of the Logistics and Customer Supply team. What Youll Do Here: Performance & Cost Management: Own and manage the supply chain P&L elements: Distribution GLs, accruals, forecasting, budgeting. Ocean Freight budget, forecasting and accruals. Define and monitor key KPIs (fill rate, OTIF, inventory accuracy, etc.) Inventory Management & Supply Planning: Oversight of the Supply Planning Process, confirm purchase requisitions with global suppliers are released in a timely manner ensuring continuity of supply and safety stock levels are maintained. Collaborating with Sales Operations and Supply Planning, lead the monthly S&OP process. Own and manage all Master Data inputs that drive inventory decisions. Proactively manage corporate Fill Rate targets and maintain service levels to our customers. Interact with Procurement and Finance to measure and attain working capital targets. Transportation Management: Domestic Transportation: Through collaboration with the Transportation & Logistics Manager and our Managed Transportation partner, oversee Domestic transportation operations to ensure the ontime delivery of packaged goods from our DC network to both internal and external customers. International Transportation: Oversee imported ocean freight from overseas vendors into our DC network; oversee ocean freight shipments direct from oversea vendors to distributors in foreign markets. Liaise internally and with Freight Forwarders to manage Ocean Freight rates, volume and service levels. Manage the customs clearance process with the companys customs broker, ensuring timely clearance and leveraging duty exemptions where applicable. Coordinate carrier RFQs and negotiate freight rates, tariffs, and contractual terms. Negotiate freight rates with customers who arrange their own freight pickup. Track, analyze, and communicate key transportation KPIs, such as cost per 100(CWT), GW/Order, ontime delivery (OTD), and ontime pickup performance. Ensure accurate and timely periodend reporting, including accruals. Warehouse Management: Orchestrate RFQs and negotiate rate agreements as required. Own the P&L for warehouse operations. Manage all activities related to handling and warehousing of finished goods and co-packing through our 3PL network. Maintain proper storage and rotation of stock in the warehouse using technology such as a warehouse management system and ensure the warehousing operation minimizes product write-offs and maximizes capacity usage while meeting the overall business objectives. Monitor third-party logistics service levels, research causal factors and implement corrective actions to maximize efficiency and maintain strong partnerships with providers. Order to Cash: Oversee the Order to Cash process through our Customer Supply Team: Manage customer order fulfillment to company standards ensuring on time and accurate order processing. Utilize SAP functionality including lead time, credit and billing blocks. Ensure daily invoicing jobs run as scheduled. Timely processing of debits and credits as required. Manage the month end process to ensure sales targets are attained and volume drop off is mitigated. Interact with Sales and Revenue Management as appropriate. Other Administration: Primary contact and program administrator for GS1 activities EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) Program Management and reporting including the Federal Plastics Registry What You Bring to the Team: Strong business acumen and understanding of the CPG industry in grocery retail and food service. Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in supply chain is an asset. Industry certifications such as CSCP, CPIM from ASCM/APICS or CITT are an asset. 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or procurement within CPG, food, or manufacturing sectors. Proven track record of successfully leading a multi-functional supply chain and logistics team. Proven success managing multi warehouse locations across Canada is a must. Experience with global supply networks; inclusive of ocean freight, customs and regulatory compliance. Experience with Integrated Business Planning/S&OP and supply chain planning Advanced Excel and ERP skills (SAP preferred); experience with planning, analytics, MWS, TMS and Power BI a plus Travel Requirements: The candidate may be required to travel occasionally to meet with service providers and conduct site visits.
