We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L&D Instructional Designer/Developer to join our clients team for a high-visibility, fast-paced learning project. In this role, you will be instrumental in assessing learning needs, consulting with stakeholders, and designing high-quality, fully accessible, multi-approach blended learning solutions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can lead the design learning strategy and execute the vision of the program while operating in an Agile environment with iterative design and development. You will be responsible for synthesizing complex information into clear, engaging, and interactive learning experiences that drive measurable business results. This contract role will run for 7 months, with a possibility of extension beyond that term. The role will be completed fully remotely, with the work hours following the Eastern Time Zone. Candidates must be located in Canada. Responsibilities: Learning Strategy & Execution : Lead the design and development of end-to-end learning solutions, supporting projects that operate in 2-week Agile increments. Stakeholder Collaboration : Effectively collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders at all levels to capture content-specific knowledge and identify learning needs. Content Design : Create engaging, interactive blended learning solutionsincluding e-Learning, virtual classroom materials, and self-led learningensuring all objectives are met. Accessibility & Inclusion : Ensure all learning solutions align with brand standards and adhere strictly to learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion. Performance Consulting : Provide deep subject matter expertise in instructional design trends, leveraging best-in-class practices and program evaluation metrics. Project Management : Analyze, organize, and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines while identifying and managing risks to protect the interests of the organization. Requirements: Experience : 10+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer. Communication : Strong consulting skills with the ability to uncover performance objectives and manage complex stakeholder relationships. Modality Expertise : Advanced design skills in creating high-quality, fully accessible deliverables across all modalities (e-Learning, ILT, VILT, etc.). Technical Proficiency : Advanced skills in the Articulate 360 suite and MS Office (PowerPoint and Word). Accessible Design : Mandatory experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and testing assets through screen readers (e.g., JAWS) and keyboard navigation. Experience supporting the financial industry on complex, transformational projects. Advanced skills in video development using Vyond and creating accessible interactive PDFs via Adobe Acrobat. Educational background in Instructional Design or an Adult Learning Certificate . An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting business requirements.
