We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric. The Fabric Spark team is hiring a Principal Product Manager to drive the delivery of a bestinclass developer experience in the age of AI. As part of the Data Engineering developer experience team within Microsoft Fabric, this role helps power largescale analytics, AI, and realtime workloads on a fully managed SaaS data platform. The teams mission is to enable data engineers and pro-developers to build and operate Apache Spark workloads that are productiongrade, highperformance, secure, and deeply integrated across the Fabric ecosystem with AIpowered tools-while eliminating operational complexity for customers. Responsibilities Own the endtoend developer experience across notebooks, APIs, and AIassisted tooling (including MCP and CI/CD), enabling data engineers and professional developers to reliably build, scale, and operate Apache Spark workloads on Microsoft Fabric in the age of AI. Translate customer, partner, and field insights into clear product priorities that measurably improve usability, productivity, and operational readiness. Partner closely with engineering and partner teams to shape productiongrade Spark capabilities, including performance, reliability, security, and deep integration across the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Advance AIassisted developer workflows for data engineering, including Copilotpowered experiences, that reduce friction and eliminate operational complexity in realworld Spark workloads. Represent the Spark developer experience in crossteam and platformlevel decision making, aligning stakeholders across Azure Data, Fabric, and RealTime Intelligence to deliver cohesive outcomes at scale. Embody our culture and values Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 4+ years experience with Data Engineering in Cloud. Preferred/Additional Qualifications Bachelors Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework). 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). 6+ years experience driving developer tools and deep understanding of GIT and DevOps pipelines for CI/CD azdat azuredata microsoftfabric notebooks Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $142,400 - CAD $257,500 per year.
