About the Position The Library Technician is a member of the Library Services team, reporting to the Director, Library Services. This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Primary Responsibilities Including but not limited to: Overseeing the librarys technical operations and the general maintenance of its collection Acquiring, organizing, producing, retrieving and disseminating information in print and electronic formats Processing all invoices Maintaining and updating the Library Management System Creating new records in the library catalogue and ensuring the accuracy of current records Looseleaf filing Reconciling online invoices Resolving problems and discrepancies with publishers Preparing and updating technical services manual of policies and procedures Other administrative duties, as required Qualifications Library Technician Diploma Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience working in a law/special library Computer proficiency Proficiency with Soutron, or a similar Library Management System, is an asset Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and initiative Strong commitment to client service Salary Range The expected starting salary range for this role is $65,000$75,000. The final offer will be determined based on the successful candidates experience and qualifications.
