Humans of HR is partnering with a growing, multi-site manufacturing organization in Greater Vancouver to hire a hands-on CAD Manager to lead technical engineering and programming functions across two facilities. This role oversees CAD, CAM, and order-entry workflows supporting precision metal manufacturing operations. It blends leadership, technical depth, customer interaction, and shop-floor engagement. What Youll Be Responsible For: Lead and mentor a technical team responsible for CAD modeling, CNC programming, and order processing Translate customer drawings into production-ready models, routings, and documentation Oversee CNC programming to optimize efficiency, material utilization, and repeatability Review and approve drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and shop documentation Ensure strong design-for-manufacturing (DFM) standards across both sites Partner with production, quality, and sales teams to improve speed and accuracy Drive standardization, workflow improvements, and automation initiatives Support prototypes, first articles, and new product introductions This role requires time both in the office and on the shop floor it is not a desk-only engineering position.
