Air Canada is presently looking for dynamic individuals to fill the permanent fulltime positions of Aircraft Technicians or at our Vancouver Maintenance Centre. Responsibilities Use the correct tools, methods, techniques and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance. Read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools. Be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain a customerfocused attitude in a demanding, highstress environment. Completed a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or have at least 4 years industryrelated experience. Possession of a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license (mandatory). Valid driver''s license (mandatory). Successfully pass the preemployment qualifying exam, physical and a security check. Availability to work nights, evenings, days including weekends and holidays. Night shift is the permanent position for this posting. Possibility to change with seniority. Pass and obtain an airside vehicle operators permit (mandatory). Possession of a restricted radio operators permit (aviation). Meet Air Canada medical standards, including a drug and alcohol test. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fastpaced environment. Obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location. Eligible to work in the country of interest, and responsible for obtaining any required work permits/visas. Assets Endorsements on Air Canada aircraft type. Current security clearance.
