Your new company Hays has partnered with a large Toronto-based construction management firm that works on a variety of ICI projects across the Greater Toronto Area. They have been around for decades and foster an excellent culture of growth and development for all employees. The current opening is for a Scheduler to come aboard and help the team coordinate project schedules.Your new role Reporting to the Senior Project Planner, the Scheduler will play a crucial part in supporting project schedules, ensuring data accuracy and conducting quality checks on the project. They will be responsible for the creation of project schedules, creating resource usage models and predictions, and work closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize all project schedules. They will use Primavera P6 to prepare cash flow, manpower histogram, time impact analysis and S curves. The Scheduler will maintain a schedule forecast throughout the project lifecycle by verifying schedules are properly updated and linked to the master schedule. This will include site visits and meetings. Finally, they will identify warnings, problems or conflicts in the schedule to mitigate the impact of these risks and work with PMs and Supers to evaluate all construction progress. What you'll need to succeed The successful scheduler will have at least 23 years doing schedules for ICI renovation and design-build construction projects. They will be proficient in Primavera P6, P3 and Microsoft project and if they have experience in Last Planner or Pull Schedule, it would be considered a definite asset. The successful candidate will have a construction-related degree or diploma and be capable of obtaining a Reliability Security Clearance. Finally, they will be an effective communicator both orally and written and be able to travel to the site to conduct and be part of meetings. This includes a valid driver's license. The role is in office Monday to Friday at their Downtown Toronto location. What you'll get in return Candidates for the scheduler role will receive a base salary (dependent on experience) from $75,000 to $95,000 full comprehensive benefits, vacation time and more!
