Employment Type: Contract/Onsite Location: Toronto, ON Duration: 9+ months with possible extension or conversion Pay range: $49/hr - $51/hr W2 Schedule: Mon Fri Job Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for managing large, complex projects for established clients. This role requires consultative skills to work closely with clients, providing high-touch service and delivering quality results. Projects will originate from various internal service organizations, external technology partners, and directly from clients. Core Responsibilities: Manage project plans, resources, and relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather clear, defined requirements and secure approval on the scope of work at the projects onset. Maintain overall ownership of the project, ensuring the final solution is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate change requests submitted after scope approval to determine their impact on cost, time, and effort. Adhere to standard (PMI-based) project management methodologies. Proactively create and maintain all project documentation throughout the lifecycle (e.g., project plans, issues logs, risk registers, status reports, meeting agendas, and time tracking tools). Manage and track the hours of all assigned team members for the duration of the project. Regularly report on hours and costs against the established budget to both the team and the client, proactively flagging potential overages. Identify and engage the appropriate resources to resolve business problems effectively. Provide consultative direction to clients based on industry best practices and project management expertise. Stay current with industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networks. Enhance the department and organizations reputation by accepting ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value. Maintain accurate and timely updates within project tracking, time tracking, and client billing systems. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications: A strong leader with sound business acumen and judgment, capable of executing complex projects and business strategies. A minimum of 10+ years of strong organizational and project management experience, specifically leading large and complex initiatives. Must have hands-on experience with Dayforce. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiences. Must be able to communicate effectively via email, lead conference calls, and facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving discussions. Proven ability to maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation. Skilled in collaboration, negotiation, and persuasion while maintaining positive relationships with employees, peers, internal partners, clients, and third-party partners. Experience in building out project management processes, tools, and procedural documentation. Ability to define, re-engineer, and continuously improve business processes by implementing new solutions. Proficient in using MS Office tools, including MS Project. Preferred Qualifications: PMI certification preferred. Knowledge of PMI methodology is a plus.
