We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Commercial Estimator Plumbing & HVAC. This role can be based on-site or hybrid (based on business needs) & physical location is flexible to any of the below metropolitans (or greater areas of): Saint John, New Brunswick Moncton, New Brunswick Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with professionalism and technical expertise. Review commercial blueprints, drawings, and plans from customers to create accurate material and product lists. Prepare detailed commercial quotes, proposals, and bids using drawing take-offs and technical specifications. In collaboration with the Supply Chain team, source products and suppliers, gather pricing, and provide recommendations Support outside sales by providing timely, accurate estimates and technical expertise to help win projects. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability. Analyze risks and review estimates with management to ensure accuracy and profitability. Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless communication, coordination, and execution Adhere to company policies and procedures Stay current on product lines, technical updates, and industry trends. Perform other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years experience in commercial estimating in a distribution/wholesale environment or working directly for a sub-contractor is required Ability to read and interpret shop drawings provided to you by contractors is required. Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and HVAC materials and systems used in Multi Family, and commercial construction is a must Well-versed in market dynamics and the contractor base throughout Atlantic Canada is considered a significant asset Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, negotiation, and phone skill Collaborative and able to develop/maintain relationships with ease inside & outside the organization Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer software Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Energetic, self-motivated, possessing a good work ethic Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
