We are looking for a Supply Chain Supervisor to join our team at 9716 Old Fort Rd, Fort St John, B.C., V1J 0S6. We offer: Wage: $36.60 per hour Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week Vacancy: 1 Terms of employment: Full time permanent position Job start date: as soon as possible Employment conditions: Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend Benefits: Group insurance benefits Work location: 9716 Old Fort Rd, Fort St John, B.C., V1J 0S6 Work setting: Retail service establishment; Retail business; Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre Responsibilities and Duties: Supervise, plan, assign, and review the daily work of logistics clerks and warehouse associates Supervise shipping and receiving of merchandise from Canadian Tire Distribution Centres and third-party vendors Schedule and dispatch team members for unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and completing time-sensitive tasks Coordinate product flow for major events such as seasonal changeovers, flyer launches, and bulk deliveries Distribute product to departments based on planograms, promotions, and seasonal priorities Store, organize, and rotate inventory in the warehouse and overstock areas Maintain accurate inventory levels for parts, products, and materials across all store categories Investigate and resolve inventory issues, including discrepancies, damaged goods, vendor errors, and product availability complaints Process purchase orders, RTVs (Return to Vendor), and transfers in accordance with Canadian Tire systems and policies Support cycle counts, annual inventory, and shrink-reduction initiatives Ensure logistics operations comply with Canadian Tire corporate policies, provincial regulations, and WorkSafeBC safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment Ensure proper handling of high-value, hazardous, and restricted products (e.g., propane, firearms, automotive chemicals) Participate in continuous improvement of safety procedures, security protocols, and operational standards Train new and existing logistics staff on job duties, equipment operation, safety procedures, and Canadian Tire systems Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to build a strong, accountable team Conduct performance reviews and participate in hiring decisions as required Lead by example by performing hands-on logistics tasks when needed Ensure smooth operation of logistics systems and equipment, including RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and computer software Arrange maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime Requisition supplies, materials, and equipment required for warehouse operations Collaborate with Department Managers and the General Manager to support store-wide operational goals Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and workflow Qualifications and Skills: Must be able to communicate in English Secondary (high) school graduation certificate 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Attention to detail Personal suitability: Client focus; Efficient interpersonal skills; Excellent oral communication; Flexibility; Initiative; Judgement; Organized; Reliability; Team player; Proactive #J-18808-Ljbffr
