Position Overview Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a tenuretrack faculty position in Academic Learning Health Systems at the assistant professor level in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine. Responsibilities Lead an independent and active research program focused on Academic Learning Health Systems that spans the full spectrum of embedded academic health expertise in health system sciences. Develop specific research topics and collaborate with the successful applicant to advance underresearched areas, particularly how LHSs can incorporate assets of an Academic Medical Center in the Canadian context. Teach and supervise undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate trainees. Contribute to the anticipated Certificate in Improvement Science and work closely with the College of Medicines Faculty Development Director. Participate in relevant administrative activities, committee work, and public and professional service appropriate to rank. Department & College Background The Department of Community Health and Epidemiology is a dynamic, cohesive academic department comprising 17 core faculty, 34 associates and adjuncts, and 18 medical faculty in the Division of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. It offers active MSc and PhD graduate programs and contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education through the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Residency Program. Current research excellence areas include child health, Indigenous peoples health, global health, environmental health, social epidemiology, health inequities, biostatistical applications to chronic disease, public health practice, and knowledge exchange. The College of Medicine is the provincial medical school with over 400 medical students, 450 residents, and 1800 medical faculty. It has just launched its new strategic plan, Paving Our Path to 2030, and promotes a vision of shaping a healthier future rooted in Saskatchewan communities. Requirements Completed PhD focused on Learning Health Systems and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in embedded research with health systems. Record of research excellence reflected in peerreviewed publications, presentations, and knowledge translation activities with nonacademic organizations and partners, commensurate with stage of career. Demonstrated potential to attract external research funding. Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and engagement skills. Capacity to create and sustain partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Salary & Benefits Current salary band for Assistant Professor: $113,527135,535.
