Asset Integrity Specialist Pressure Equipment (Contract) Location: Calgary, Alberta Position Type: Contract Schedule: 5/2 Monday to Friday, 8hour days Safety Sensitive: Yes The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Asset Integrity Specialist Pressure Equipment to support pressure equipment and tank integrity programs across Alberta. This role provides technical leadership and field support to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, and associated equipment. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Field Integrity teams to execute inspection programs, manage repairs, and steward integrity strategies. This position is wellsuited for someone who is comfortable balancing technical assessments with practical field execution. Key Accountabilities Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to Field Integrity personnel, including development plans, work plans, and training guidance. Execute all aspects of the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management System and Tank Integrity Management System. Coordinate turnaround and maintenance inspection requirements, ensuring regulatory inspections and servicing are completed as required. Plan, schedule, and execute: Pressure vessel inspections Tank internal/external inspections Coating assessments Repair scopes for vessels, tanks, and piping Review inspection reports and determine appropriate integrity strategies, repair recommendations, and followup actions. Support and oversee pressure equipment and tank repairs, working directly with operations during execution. Participate in turnarounds, shutdowns, and field visits to validate inspection findings and support repair execution. Review corrosion monitoring data, NDE results, and inspection histories to identify degradation mechanisms and remaining life. Support failure investigations, fitnessforservice assessments, and riskbased inspection planning. Maintain accurate integrity records, inspection schedules, and documentation. Travel to field locations within Alberta as required. What You Bring 7+ years of experience in asset integrity, inspection, or pressure equipment engineering within the oil and gas industry. Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or related discipline. API 510 certification (required). Additional certifications considered strong assets: ABSA ISIPVPP / ISIBPVPP API 570 API 653 National Board NACE/AMPP certifications Strong understanding of: Pressure equipment design codes and jurisdictional requirements CSA Z662 and applicable provincial regulations Corrosion mechanisms and inspection methodologies Experience with upstream facilities, pressure vessels, tanks, piping circuits, and PSV programs. Ability to interpret NDE results and inspection data to determine appropriate repair or mitigation strategies. Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams. Valid Class 5 drivers license and ability to travel within Alberta.
