Our client, a reputable civil construction contractor delivering heavy civil and infrastructure projects across British Columbia, is seeking a proactive and energetic Safety Coordinator to support site operations and field teams throughout the Lower Mainland. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily on-site safety support across active project sites Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety observations Support Superintendents and Foremen with safe work planning and compliance Assist with incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective actions Maintain site safety documentation, permits, and reports Coordinate and deliver site orientations and toolbox talks Support COR program requirements and audit preparation Monitor subcontractor compliance with company safety policies Assist with injury management and documentation for WorkSafeBC claims Maintain digital safety systems and reporting tools such as Excel, SiteDocs, and SharePoint Attend site meetings and provide regular safety updates Ideal Candidate Requirements: 23 years of safety experience within heavy civil construction Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or working toward Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety practices Comfortable working on active construction sites across multiple locations Strong organizational and administrative skills Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with digital safety platforms is an asset Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team-first mindset Why This Firm?
