About the ProjectYou will be part of our Mobilinx project, playing a key role in driving its success and contributing to one of Canadas most exciting infrastructure projects.About the JobWe are hiring a Procurement Buyer to step into a new role in our Procurement team on the Mobilinx project. This position reports to the Assistant Procurement Manager.What You Will Be Doing?Help in oversee and participate in the procurement of equipment, and services, ensuring total cost of ownership is achieved and required delivery dates are met;Responsible for assisting in the executing the full procurement cycle including review of EQR/P-REQs to ensure they are adequate to go to market, generate bidders lists, generate and peer review RFP/RFI/RFQs, addressing vendor questions, carrying out bid evaluations, generating bid recommendations, negotiating price/terms and conditions for management to approve, formalizing purchase orders and master service agreements, managing purchase orders post award, issue shipping notices, coordinate shipments, and updating status in the various procurement system(s);Process invoices;Expedites suppliers, engineering and QA to ensure that all documents and issues are brought to a successful completionIssues ProActs as required;Assist in guiding, assisting, and negotiating to a satisfactory conclusion critical purchasing contracts as directed by Management;Help monitors communications, problem resolution, and contractual disputes. Contacts suppliers regarding large or recurring material problems and resolves issues;Visits suppliers on a regular basis as outlined by the Leads;Prepare, issue and obtain signatures for Conditional Releases;Participates in the maintenance of systems which measure, track, and analyze supplier and material effectiveness, price, reliability and delivery, including CMMS, PM+, TRAK and all other systems on a weekly basisAssist in maintaining contract management and procurement skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as neededAssumes additional related responsibilities as necessary.What We Are Looking For?University degree, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills2+ years of experience in Procurement (Procurement/Sourcing) department in a highly flexible environmentExtensive experience in prioritizing and organizing work activities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within set deadlines and timelines2+ years of experience in management of critical supply chain for High-mix/Low-volume productionExperience in change management and continuous improvementStrong analytical skillsKnowledge and experience of inventory, purchasing and supplier management activityKnowledge and experience of working with ERP systemsHigh level of organizational and time management skillsSound knowledge of cost control functions to perform cost control processes and make appropriate business decisions for multiple assigned projectsFamiliarity with designing process, inventory, project management, and arithmetic abilities to perform accurate calculationsProficient in MS word, excel spreadsheets, outlook, database and word processing softwareProficient in the English language (Reading, writing and speaking)Expected CompensationSuccessful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $60,000.00 CAD - 90,000.00 CAD.
