We''re looking for a skilled Millwright Lead Hand to join our Maintenance team. This is a permanent, full-time role that includes shift work and overtime as needed. What You''ll Do: Provide on-site leadership for operational maintenance, safety, and preventative maintenance activities across packaging, processing, and utility equipment. Coordinate with Shift Supervisors on work assignments, safety issues, and day-to-day CMMS activities. Take the lead in the absence of the Supervisor issuing and receiving work orders, reporting downtime, and coordinating with production and facilities teams. Troubleshoot, repair, install, and optimize all production, utility, and processing equipment, including air systems and HVAC. Supervise and manage third-party contractors and support project installations. Train and mentor technicians and mechanics on key maintenance tasks. Monitor and ensure accuracy of preventative maintenance activities and audit documentation. Write and update SOPs, manage tool inventory, and collaborate with Purchasing on spare parts. Weld mild and stainless steels, fabricate parts, and assist operators with setup and tooling. Uphold all safety policies including lockout/tagout, hot work, and cGMP standards. What You Bring: Red Seal Trade Qualified (TQ) Millwright certification (Interprovincial). 5+ years of experience in repairs and maintenance in a packaging or manufacturing environment. Electrical and mechanical background with strong troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum pumps, and HVAC equipment. GMP knowledge and experience working in a regulated environment. Forklift certification or experience (asset). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties. Proactively safety-conscious with a positive, team-focused attitude.
