JOB DESCRIPTION The Assistant Community Manager at the Ritz works alongside the Community Manager and plays a vital role in the efficient operation and management of the building. This multifaceted position encompasses various responsibilities, including mainly janitorial, maintenance and life safety tasks with some administrative responsibilities and coverage. Responsible for cleaning and janitorial upkeep of the community, while providing relief support for all duties of the Community Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES Janitorial and Maintenance - Community Upkeep Importance: 70% Cleaning Remove trash and clean surfaces daily in common areas to keep them tidy and presentable. Disinfect high-touch points like door handles, elevator buttons, and handrails daily to reduce germs. Perform deep cleans of common areas monthly or quarterly, including walls, carpets, and hard-to-reach spots. Deep clean vacated units, sanitize surfaces, and ensure appliances are spotless before new residents move ins. Maintenance Support maintenance efforts by performing minor tasks like painting, drywall repair, and appliance fixes. Respond quickly to emergencies, following protocols to minimize damage and ensure safety. Inspections Inspect common areas daily using a checklist to address cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs. Keep equipment rooms organized and stocked; regularly check tools to ensure they''re in good condition. Administration Services Importance: 20% Administrative: Offer flexible support across tasks and properties as needed. Learn key systems and processes to effectively back up the Community Manager. Act as a tenant liaison, responding to concerns. Supporting Customer Experience Importance: 10% Troubleshooting customer issues Assisting with Community Events Engaging with customers to foster connection HOURS OF WORK The position requires a commitment of 25 hours per week. The working schedule will be determined based on the needs of the building and will likely require a weekend day to be worked. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in property maintenance, cleaning, or a related field. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Must be available during and after regular work hours for tenant and maintenance needs.
