Job Summary: We are seeking an Express Shopper to join our team. This role is responsible to shop the store to complete customer online orders, offer advice and guidance on products, process purchase orders, prepare deliveries, and assist with online customer queries. The goal is to exceed customer expectations by having a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, this role will work indirectly with customers to prepare orders and get them to our customers as if they had shopped the orders themselves. If you feel that this describes you, we hope you apply Duties/Responsibilities: Support customers with placing orders and making payments via the phone, online, or in person Help customers make the best possible purchases by providing advice, guidance, and excellent customer service Engage with customers and ensure any special instructions are followed. Ensure that orders are accurately selected, scanned, and packed Assist with order collection, packaging, loading, and payment, where required Appropriately substitute products for similar items if original items are not in stock or have been discontinued Collaborate with store departments to ensure efficient service delivery Respond promptly and effectively to customers'' complaints and requests Ensure the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers Process cash register payments by cash, credit card, gift card, and debit Wrap and place merchandise in bags / carts Balance and reconcile cash at end of work shift Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus Great attention to detail Good communication and people skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time Push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts with or without reasonable accommodation Able to lift up to 40 pounds at times About Us Stong''s Market is a locally owned, community focused grocery store.
