About Van Isle Containers by Make Space Van Isle Containers ) is a proudly Canadian-owned and operated company located in Saanichton, BC. We are a seasonal tire storage operation that delivers and pickups up sets of tires at dealerships and stores them in our shipping containers. Our Vancouver Island facility services our clients throughout Victoria, Nanaimo and North Island. Job Description: We require a full-time seasonal General Labourer to join our team in our storage yard. This role is responsible for picking tires, loading and unloading trucks, organizing and storing inventory, and completing regular inventory counts. Daily tasks include lifting tires from storage containers to the ground or pallets, loading and unloading delivery trucks, stacking tires on pallets and wrapping them for shipment, and returning tires to designated storage containers within the yard. This is a physically demanding position that requires frequent moving, squatting, bending, and lifting, with the ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs on a regular basis. The successful candidate must be able to maintain a productive work pace while following established inventory control procedures and adhering to all safety protocols. Additional duties may be assigned by the Manager as required. Experience & Requirements: Loading and Offloading trucks using tire dollies (preferred but not required) Safety Boots (Required) Order picker license (preferred but not required) Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly Must be able to perform standing, squatting, walking and lifting Ability to learn and receive feedback from management and experienced peers.
