As a Resident Attendant, you''ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignments Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents'' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service Performing other duties as assigned What you need to know: Certification inPersonal Support WorkerorPersonal Care Worker,or a16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department.If you don''t have this, youmust bewilling to complete this course within 3 months of start date. Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role. Basic or Standard First Aid is required. CPR is required. Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills. Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team. All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
