Blastworks is a Victoria-based mobile and social gaming studio focused on building engaging, data-driven player experiences. Our analytics function partners directly with Product, Design, and Marketing to ensure we understand how features impact engagement, retention, and our in-game economy. We are seeking a Senior Product Analytics Analyst to support KPI reporting, deepen product insights, and partner closely with Product on feature measurement and impact analysis. This role is suited for an experienced analyst who can operate independently, translate ambiguous product questions into structured analysis, and deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership. Key activities and deliverables: KPI Reporting & Integrity Own the accuracy, evolution, and clarity of product KPI reporting Ensure metric definitions remain consistent as features and systems evolve Identify anomalies and proactively investigate root causes Deeping Product Insights Extend KPI reporting through segmentation, cohort analysis, and behavioral slicing Translate stakeholder feedback into deeper analytical views and reporting enhancements Develop Tableau dashboards that are intuitive, reliable, and decision-ready Feature Instrumentation & Data Modeling Collaborate with Product and Design during feature planning to define measurable success criteria Design event tracking requirements prior to launch Model expected and actual impact of new features on retention, monetization, and in-game economy Analyze post-launch performance and communicate findings clearly Hypothesis & Experiment Support Support A/B test analysis and performance measurement Frame analysis around clear business questions, not just data extraction Qualified candidates will have: 5+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical roles Advanced SQL skills (comfortable with CTEs, window functions, aggregations, cohort logic) Strong experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards Experience partnering directly with Product teams Ability to define and interpret success metrics for new features Demonstrated experience translating ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches Strong communication skills able to clearly explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders Preferred candidates will have: Experience in mobile, gaming, SaaS, or marketplace products Experience with experimentation frameworks or A/B testing Experience analyzing monetization and retention behaviors Familiarity with virtual economies or transaction-based products Compensation: Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 CAD annually Exact compensation will be based on skills and experience.
