Job Description

We are seeking a teamoriented and professional Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty training and interest in complex wrist and elbow surgeries to join us on a feeforservice basis. The Regina Qu''Appelle Health Regions Orthopedic Surgery Department includes 12 specialists with diverse subspecialty interests. It is the goal of the Section of Orthopedics to provide full access to all subspecialty interests in Orthopedics with the exception of complex pediatric and orthopedic oncology. Orthopedic services are shared between two sites: the Regina General Hospital, our trauma center representing all major surgical specialties, except transplant, and the Pasqua Hospital, a communitybased hospital and referral center specializing in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology and Pediatric Oncology. The primary role for this position will be elective management of patients with complex wrist and elbow pathology. Secondary role will be management of elective shoulder pathology including arthroscopy and occasional arthroplasty. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the on call duties at one of the two hospitals. Job Qualifications Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for Certification in Orthopedic Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be eligible for provisional or regular licensure to practice in Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to applicants with hand and upper extremity fellowship training and RCPSC designation in Orthopedic Surgery.
