We share in each others successes, drive change and support each other while cultivating a great working environment to deliver on what is best for the customer.Position DetailsWhat you will do:Review and approve incoming photo-image assignments to ensure quality and technical competence are always displayedReview claims details to ensure correct information is recorded and meet all appraisal standardsNegotiate costs with repair facilities and record all details of appraisal activityKeep detail notes and records of all appraisalsProvide advice to PD adjusters when exceptions are always madeCoordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatchedIn case of total loss, provide review of appraisal to respective partiesProvide evaluation for stolen or unrecovered vehiclesParticipate in the industry events, training of other staff in auto PD, and various projectsWhat you haveMinimum of 1 year experience in insurance appraisal or body shop estimating or 2 yrs in Auto PD claims with an insurance carrierAbility to appraise auto body claimsPost-secondary educationExcellent communication skills both written and oralExcellent organizational skillsSuperior customer service and interpersonal skillsExperience reading Mitchell estimates and total loss reportsExcellent negotiation skillsAbility to work remotely, independently, and unsupervisedOur CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with all applicable Provincial Human Rights and Accessibility Legislation.
