The role also involves emergency care coordination and psychiatric assessment support.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with protocolsConsult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicatedDocument all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systemsMaintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement effortsProvide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessmentsQualifications & RequirementsEDUCATIONCompletion of an accredited education program for PAsEXPERIENCEPrevious correctional/detention facility experienceMinimum two (2) years experienceLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSUnrestricted current license, certification or registration in state of practiceMust maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registrationCurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHAMust be licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Washington.
