Edmonton Catholic School Division (ECSD) is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our 100 Voices Early Learning program. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work as a member of the multidisciplinary classroom team to provide culturally responsive speech-language support to children aged 3-5 years old with diverse learning needs. Programs are inclusive and welcoming to all children, and an understanding of the Pyramid of Intervention is essential. A key part of the role is collaborating and communicating with the classroom to build capacity and promote childrens growth and success.This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.Responsibilities and ActivitiesProvide consultative and direct services and supports to schools and families for preschool-aged children who have identified moderate to severe delays in speech-language developmentAdminister, score, and interpret speech-language assessments to support applications for Program Unit FundingContribute to the development of Individual Program Plans (IPP) and recommend appropriate communication strategies and programming for studentsImplement lessons and activities to address individual student goalsProvide training, coaching, and mentoring to speech-language assistants in the implementation of targeted and specialized strategiesLiaise closely with the teachers, Educational Assistants, Therapeutic Assistants, and other members of the school team, including multidisciplinary team membersSupport the generalization of intervention strategies to all natural environments, including the classroom, home, and new environmentsParticipate in the development and delivery of professional development for Division staff in the areas of specific communication disorders, expressive language, receptive language, literacy, social communication, speech sound production, assistive technology, and alternative/augmentative communicationQualificationsMasters degree in Speech-Language PathologyRegistered with the Alberta College of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) and hold a valid practice permitThree or more years of related experience in early learning classrooms is desiredExcellent communication, collaboration, and consultative skillsRegistered with or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)Knowledge of the selection and design of alternative and augmentative communication systemsWhat We OfferMake a real difference: Your expertise directly impacts the success of the divisions administrators, teachers, students, and parents.Be part of a dynamic team: Be part of a collaborative team that works with many diverse groups and builds meaningful connections.Continuous learning: Embrace new technologies and challenges, growing your technical skillset through provided training opportunities.Competitive salary and pension.100% employer-paid benefits, including: Health, Vision, and Dental.A Health/Wellness Spending Account.EFAP Employee and Family Assistance Program.Paid Time Off, including vacation time, personal days, and Christmas break.7-hour workdays, 35 hours per week for a 1.0 FTE. #J-18808-Ljbffr
