One of BC''s largest Property Management companies is looking for Accounting Clerk to join our team Receiving, processing, verifying invoices of Strata Corporations on a timely basis. Primary focus will be the custody, securing of and posting of receipts and any subsequent related NSF and the resolving of discrepancies related thereto. Any reference to receipts includes but is not limited to, cheques, bank drafts, cashier''s order, personal or corporate cheques, cash and online banking payment Job Duties: Organizes & secures custody of receipts for daily deposit and of post-dated cheques for deposit in the future. Timely posting of receipts received daily through the Reception via mail, courier, Community Managers or by-hand from drop-in'' clients. Verification of receipt received prior to depositing to ensure it is applied correctly to the right ledger or account. Posting of one-time charges related to miscellaneous or non-recurring charges upon receipt of such payments, in coordination with the Strata Accountant, typically Move-In or Move-Out Fee. Maintenance of logs to record deposit bags prior to sending them to the bank. Handling and responding to telephone calls and email queries relating to deposits and receipts. Set up and maintenance of Pre-Authorized Payments Maintains relevant document filing by electronic or reprographic means Maintenance of deposit slips reference and totals listing via import to spread sheets. Verifies validity and follow up of receipt posting discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from ledger, files, deposit records and bank deposit logs. Data Entry and Postings related to Delinquency accounts management Return of clients'' cheques following standard procedures Protects organization''s value by keeping information confidential. Protects clients'' information through securing cheques or documents. Maintain positive client relations & experience Data entry and clerical tasks as assigned from time to time.
