About the Role: We are seeking a permanent full-time position as Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded, processed, and reconciled in a timely manner. This position has a 40 hour a week schedule working Monday-Friday 8:00am 5:00pm. We offer competitive wages and extended benefits to all full-time positions. Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable function, including receiving, coding, and posting invoices, cheque runs, and reconciliations Data entry processes including but not limited to: daily cash reporting for Sales and Service, bank and credit card reconciliations, other general ledger accounting. Track, record, and manage month end tasks such as GST/PST filings, prepaids, accruals, and other month end and year end tasks. Support the Controller with full-cycle accounting specifically for month end and year end financials with participation in the year-end audit process Work with other departments on timely processing of customer refunds, dealer trade and wholesale transactions, and other payments made to external clients. Vacation coverage for reception. Candidate requirements Business Administration Diploma with a minimum of five years'' experience in an accounting role, preferably in an automotive setting with knowledge of PBS. An equivalent of education and experience may be considered. Must be detailed oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with added pressures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills.
