Thunderbird R.V. Park Job Opening Outdoor Maintenance Worker We are looking for a reliable hard-working person who is able to work with limited supervision and as part of a team. This is can be a year-round part-time to full time position that will lead to more hours as we get into the busy summer season or seasonal position (April November). Wage: $20.00 per hour to start Type: As soon as possible Hours: 25 to 35 Hours per week Location: 2660 Spit Road,Campbell River, located on the beautiful unceded territory of the Ligidax people. Your work plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly and efficiently. JOB DESCRIPTION This position requires an individual with general handyman skills including carpentry, minor plumbing, painting, and the ability to work with power tools and outdoor yard maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and weed whackers. Responsibilities include maintaining park grounds and beach areas, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and free of debris at all times. Additional Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for addressing maintenance issues as they arise, including water line breaks, snow removal, hot tub cleaning and maintenance, and repairs in cottages or RV sites. (Willingness to learn) Water line repairs and general maintenance troubleshooting. Assist with supervising junior staff or summer students for approximately 8 weeks during the summer season. Ability to follow direction from Supervisors and Management. Maintain inventory and notify management when supplies are low. What You Bring Experience & Qualifications The ideal candidate brings hands-on maintenance experience, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, equipment operation, or general property maintenance would be highly valued. You demonstrate: Enjoy working with the public and providing positive customer experience. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Knowledge of hot tub maintenance is considered an asset (training available for the right candidate). Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting when required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of irrigation systems is considered an asset. A valid driver''s license and clean driver abstract (no criminal offences) are preferred. However, we are also accepting resumes from applicants without a driver''s license. All applicants must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check. First aid certification would be considered an asset. Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal record check. Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a demanding, fast-paced workload efficiently. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call shifts with short notice. All shifts are daytime hours.
