THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN VICTORIA MUST HAVE STONE FABRICATION EXPERIENCE A CNC Router Operator sets up, programs, and runs Computer Numerical Control machines to precisely cut, shape, and finish stone like granite, quartz, and marble for countertops or architectural pieces, requiring blueprint reading, CAD/CNC software skills, material handling (cranes), quality checks, tool management, and basic maintenance to ensure high-quality, custom stone fabrication. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Load/unload heavy stone slabs (often with cranes), start/stop production runs, and monitor machine performance. Programming & Setup: Read blueprints/CAD files, adjust tool paths, set machine offsets, and optimize programs for efficient cutting. Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces for precision, measure parts with precision tools, and ensure they meet design specs. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibrate tools, and replace worn cutting tools as needed. Material Handling: Safely manage raw stone slabs and finished products. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical: Experience with CNC routers (e.g., Intermac), CNC software, blueprint reading, CAD, and G-code. Mechanical: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision tools. Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, good math skills, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. Physical: Ability to operate overhead cranes and handle heavy materials. Work Environment: Fabrication shops, working on custom countertops, vanities, and other stone elements for residential and commercial projects.
