Five Star Building Services is hiring a Building Caretaker at the Vancouver V6A location. The schedule for this position will be Monday to Friday, 5 - 6 hours a day. The Building Caretaker position is a mix of Caretaking and Building Management responsibilities. Responding to inquiries and requests by building residents and resolving any problems or issues. Program and update fobs (remote access key). Coordinate and managing trades/contractors. Monitor building conditions and security (review security cameras as requested by property management). Perform daily building walkthroughs and report any deficiencies. Inspecting the building for any sign of damage or vandalism. Monitoring visitor parking. Coordinates move in/ out inspections. Changes and orders light bulbs as required. Produce and submit written incident reports. Knowledge and skills: Cleaning & Maintenance: Proficient in cleaning techniques, chemical handling (WHMIS), minor repairs, and basic building systems. Facility Operations: Knowledge of pool/hot tub care, lighting, plumbing, and safety protocols. Administration: Skilled in record-keeping, inventory management, and booking coordination; basic computer and communication skills. Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, reliable, organized, professional, and able to work independently or in a team. Physical Ability: Able to lift 30 to 50 lbs., bend and reach to high/ low places as needed. Capable to push heavy waste bins for about 10 meters on a flat surface.
