We are looking for a Housekeeping Associates to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott West Kelowna Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, removal of linens from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment Update and record all cleaned rooms Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards, especially Worksafe BC policies regarding COVID-19. Report necessary maintenance items Follow all safety and sanitation policies Sort all linens and treat stains Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents Take wet, clean items and dry as directed Sort and fold or hang clean dried items Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Housekeeping supervisor. Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs Perform additional laundry services when necessary Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Minimum one year Housekeeping experience is required. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Ability to work weekends and week days an asset Physical Aspects of Position Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: Constant standing and walking throughout Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour Benefits: Dental care Employee assistance program On-site parking Paid time off Work Location: In person
