If you enjoy interacting with people, like being around boats, and want to experience a summer on the BC coast, this may be the job for you Blind Channel Resort is a self-contained marina resort on West Thurlow Island about 50km north of Campbell River, in the heart of BC''s beautiful Inside Passage. We are a top destination for boaters during the summer, providing moorage, onshore services, shopping, and a fine dining restaurant. We are now accepting reservations for the position of dock attendant at our marina. The primary jobs of the dock attendant are assisting boats entering the marina, greeting boaters and other guests at the dock, providing information, helping with loading and unloading, organizing reservations, and selling marine fuels. The dock attendant is responsible for maintaining the marina in a safe, orderly and attractive condition. During slow periods, the dock attendant disposes of waste at the resort and performs other duties related to grounds maintenance or landscaping. This position requires a person who: -is outgoing and friendly -has good communication, negotiating skills -has a positive attitude -is a motivated self-starter -has a strong work ethic -likes being outdoors and around the water. -is physically fit with a high level of stamina -has strong organizational skills Knowledge of boats, tides, and fishing would be assets. This is a live-in, full-time job from late June through August. Accommodations with a private room will be provided.
