The Executive Council is seeking a high performing and detail-oriented Digital Media Officer to prepare high-quality digital content through photo and video. Travel, overnight travel, and some weekend work will be required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in creating branded visual content using Adobe Creative Suite, videography and photography. Responsibilities will include photographing and filming events, producing video messages for Executive Council, and editing photo and video content. The role also supports social media management and provides operational support for press conferences and events, including equipment setup, livestreaming, and site advances. This position would be based in Saskatoon. Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through: A combination of post-secondary education in marketing, digital marketing or communications and 1-3 years of applicable work experience, or similar Intermediate to advanced-level experience with a variety of editing programs, such as Adobe Creative Cloud Programs Intermediate-level experience creating online content for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn Experience working in a team-based environment Experience in a political setting is preferred, but not required The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following: Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines Ability to be an effective, independent and self-driven worker Ability to communicate in a timely, logical, clear and consistent manner Basic understanding of social media analytics Intermediate understanding of basic camera and camcorder operation Ability to copywrite at an intermediate level Basic understanding of audio/visual functions Basic understanding of how to stream Live Events using OBS and Facebook Live What We Offer Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
