We have an opening for a Program Coordinator position with the Coquitlam and Port Moody Farmers Markets. This is a parttime, seasonal position perfect for students. Reports to: Market Manager. Responsibilities Support the creation and implementation of activities for a youth agricultural program (Power of Produce Program POP). Attend weekly market to facilitate program on Sundays (Coquitlam) and Wednesdays (Port Moody). Assist Program Manager with data collection and analysis. Assist Market Crew with planning and implementation of events, workshops and childrens activities at market. Provide event support and may attend community events promoting Farmers Market. Key Qualifications Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently on projects. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and spoken communication, leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong storytelling and creative writing skills. Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and reprioritise work as needed. Flexible, enthusiastic, and collaborative work ethic. Desired Characteristics Enjoys working in a fastpaced environment and being outside in all weather conditions. Enjoys physical labour and getting hands dirty. Strong timemanagement skills and detail orientation. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Selfdirected, reliable, responsible and flexible. Can lift up to 10kg of equipment. Ideally holds a valid BC drivers license with a good driving record (not required). Interest or experience in child/youth education, food security issues, farming/gardening. Experience or familiarity with the notforprofit sector. Familiarity with the TriCities area is an asset. Job type: Parttime, seasonal May1August312025, 30hours per week.
