Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 6209 Description of Duties Location: Remote (Manitoba-based rescue) Whisker Warriors Manitoba is seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator to help us share our mission, promote adoptable cats, and grow community support. As a foster-based rescue, we rely heavily on strong visuals and engaging posts to reach potential adopters, fosters, and donors. This role is perfect for someone who loves design, storytelling, and making a real difference for animals. Responsibilities and Expertise Create eye-catching social media graphics (adoption posts, fundraisers, urgent foster calls, thank-you posts) Design posters, event graphics, and promotional materials Help develop consistent branding across platforms Assist with content planning and campaign ideas Edit photos of cats to make them stand out (lighting, cropping, simple enhancements) Collaborate with the rescue team to highlight urgent cases and success stories Skills Required Passionate about animal welfare Experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools Strong sense of visual branding and layout Creative, reliable, and able to meet simple deadlines Familiar with Facebook and Instagram marketing (asset but not required) Skills Gained / Related Careers Real-world nonprofit marketing experience Portfolio-building design projects Social media strategy and campaign planning Brand development and storytelling Community engagement strategy Volunteer Eligibility Age: 1315, 1617, 1830, 3154, 55+ Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Micro Volunteering, Remote Volunteering, Flexible Hours Flexible, remote-friendly position Opportunity to build a strong design portfolio Letter of reference after commitment Direct impact on saving cats lives Be part of a compassionate rescue team Location of Volunteer Opportunity Brandon, Central, Eastman, Interlake, Northern, Parkland, Thompson, Westman, Winnipeg Does opportunity require a criminal record check?
