Job Description

Location: Vancouver, BC | Mostly 4 days a week on site/ 1 day work from homeJob Type: Full-TimeStart Date: As soon as we find the right fit :) Hi! Im Leena Yousefi, founder of YLaw, a multi-award-winning and the largest family law firm in Western Canada. Im also the creator of The Split, a legal-tech app thats changing the way people approach separation and divorce. Between running a firm, developing software, attending speaking engagements, and raising a family with 3 little kids, life is fast-moving and exciting. Im looking for an Executive Assistant who can help me stay organized, focused, and creative. In this role you'll be challenged in a good way: youll work directly with me on a variety of professional, creative, and personal projects. I am a fast thinker, have an insatiable need for speed and several projects on the go at any time. I am not very good with organization, systems and details. This is where I could use your help! What Youll Be Doing Managing a highly complex calendar and scheduling meetings, events, and speaking engagements Running some of my projects if you are up for the challenge Loving tech and AI Booking travel, accommodations, and handling logistics Running personal errands such as booking appointments, arranging childcare pickups, and organizing dry cleaning or events Creating and managing social media content and helping with light marketing tasks, especially for The Split app Keeping the office organized and helping with special projects or tasks for the wider team Assisting with internal communications and staying on top of follow-ups and reminders Who You Are Someone who loves change, will roll up his/her sleeve and do what is needed to keep it going - not a 'I am too good for this' personality Creative but disciplined, artistic taste is always a plus, and of course thick skin! Background in marketing would be an asset as I do a lot of the firm's marketing and am passionate about it. Would need help with some SEO, social media posts, website maintenance, content, etc Exceptionally organized and reliable under pressure. I am ADHD, so you will need to probably be the opposite! Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Canva, social media platforms, and basic SEO or marketing tools Open minded: I speak my mind and love opposing views and debates, so if you are offended easily we probably won't last Comfortable working with a busy and high-expectation leader while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude Someone who truly cares about doing good work and contributing to something really great What Youll Have A chance to work side-by-side with a recognized leader in law and innovation Involvement in creative and meaningful projects that impact peoples' lives A warm, inclusive, and professional culture where your ideas respected no matter how different Flexibility, trust, growth opportunities, and the chance to build something great together How to Apply Although we love and have implemented AI in all aspects of our firm, we kindly ask that you do not use AI to draft your application or emails to us. We will need to understand your style of writing, thought process and skills and are not fully able to do so if AI is used. The thing with AI is that it blends people and thoughts together so it is 1) easy to tell if someone has used AI and 2) sometimes hard to tell who should be picked for an interview. We do not want to harm your chances hence this message. Please send your resume along with a short cover letter to explaining why this role speaks to you. If you want to stand out, feel free to include: A system or hack you use to stay organized A piece of content or project youve created that youre proud of Looking forward to hearing from you, Leena. Compensation: $60,000 to $90,000 annually depending on experience Benefits: Pay uniformity and transparency First-trimester leave for expecting parents Cultural holiday swaps Hybrid work Paying for your annual vacations Fitness incentives Firm trips, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
