TEMP - Environmental Health & Safety Manager Job Category : Safety Requisition Number : ENVIR001403 Apply now Posted : February 5, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Winnipeg, Winnipeg, MB R2C5H4, CAN Description The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to all Malteurop Canadian employees to ensure employee health and the environment are protected. This role will conduct and manage activities that ensure compliance with governmental regulations and corporate policies. This includes advising, implementing and developing new procedures and processes as needed to ensure compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages site activities to achieve EHS goals and objectives. Drives and promotes zero-incident culture and employee engagement throughout the locations. Uses established EHS data processes to manage and report data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items, and other pertinent information. Perform accident investigations, conducts safety audits to ensure compliance with company & governmental regulations, and ensures understanding and enforcement of plant safety rules. Ensure contractors and subcontractors have implemented an effective safety process by conducting pre-qualifications and by visiting/auditing work in progress on a regular basis. Implement applicable EHS policies and procedures to be followed in compliance with federal, provincial and territorial rules and regulations. Develop and support necessary training initiatives with preparation, presentation of required Safety training and training programs for the Malteurop plant employees Provide special training programs, including Supervisor safety training and special employee safety training programs, maintains accident records and supporting documentation. Develop new and creative ways to keep the workforce engaged in safety. Keep abreast of changes in laws and technology. Qualification Requirements: Bachelors Degree: Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Occupational Safety, or equivalent OR two-year technical degree. Minimum of 5 years or more of handson safety experience in a manufacturing setting Train the Trainer Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and provide leadership on the plant floor Demonstrated ability to drive a safety culture Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization Excellent listening/communication (verbal and written) with the ability to connect with a variety of audiences One or more safetyrelated professional certifications desired (i.e. CRSP).
