As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution to play a key role in delivering an exciting portfolio of capital projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of medium to high-risk infrastructure projects. This includes planning, directing, and monitoring activities throughout the project lifecycle, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, with quality, on budget, and on schedule. Responsibilities Follow project delivery processes to ensure projects are completed in the most cost-effective manner, meeting client standards and quality requirements Plan and manage projects through all phases: initiation and planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout Develop plans and monitor project progress using charters and project management plans, risk management plans, schedules, budgets, cashflows, procurement plans, quality plans, and communication plans Manage change throughout the project; problem solve unexpected challenges and delays Direct the cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team including engineering, procurement, stakeholder engagement, environmental, safety, Indigenous relations, properties, as well as your internal project delivery team Manage the engineering design review; ensure the approved design meet the project, client and technical requirement, regulatory rules and long-term operability needs Report progress and present status updates to internal and external parties Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, and manage priorities, risks and mitigation Identify and execute activities required to obtain relevant regulatory and/or external approvals/permits Manage the competitive procurement process and once awarded, contract administration Participate in site assessment and lead pre-construction meetings as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, business, or economics A minimum 7 years of project management experience 5+ years of experience delivering power utility or power system infrastructure (transmission, distribution, lines or stations) Proven knowledge of utility assets such as distribution lines, cables, substations, SCADA/automation, and transmission systems Demonstrated familiarity with power utility industry standards, processes, and stakeholder coordination requirements, ensuring projects meet safety, regulatory, and quality expectations Experience working within a crown corporation or municipality environment Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is also required Proven ability to lead projects and make decisions, while collaborating with a project team Proven ability to review engineering documentation; knows how to interpret electrical, mechanical and civil drawings and design reports Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English Good knowledge of finance, procurement, safety standards and environmental standards Benefits Do meaningful work Deliver projects that build what communities depend on, from power and water to gas and other essential infrastructure across Western Canada Grow professionally without big corporate overhead Take on the complexity and professional challenges of large-scale projects while enjoying the efficiency, agility, and support of a midsized team Be part of a valuesdriven culture Guided by our Maven 6 values Safety, Sharing, Standards, Speed, Solutions, and Stretch and strengthened by our People Cornerstones, we foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous growth Enjoy competitive rewards Receive fair, competitive compensation and comprehensive health benefits that reflect the value you bring Invest in your development Access training, peer coaching, team meetings, and mentorship to support your career progression Balance work and life Benefit from a flexible hybrid model that blends remote work with meaningful inperson collaboration at our North Vancouver office Give back with us Contribute to our Share program, where we partner with local organizations and create volunteer opportunities for our team Join a growth story Maven has been recognized as one of Western Canada's fastestgrowing professional services firms, with a vision to become the trusted, industryleading partner in infrastructure delivery Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skillset, experience, qualifications, and other jobrelated reasons.
