The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of July1,2026. Qualifications Earned a PhD degree in Molecular and Cell Biology or related areas by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching throughout scientific training. Postdoctoral training experience will be considered an asset to the application. Teaching experience in a degreegranting program, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures/laboratories. Demonstrated commitment to excellent pedagogical inquiry and interest in teachingrelated scholarly activities. Evidence of excellence in teaching and a commitment to excellent pedagogical inquiry demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, awards, presentations at significant conferences, the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application, and strong letters of reference. Evidence of commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and to the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment, as demonstrated through a 1 to2page statement of contributions to equity and diversity (covering topics such as research or teaching that incorporates a focus on underrepresented communities, the development of inclusive pedagogies, or the mentoring of students from underrepresented groups). Salary The salary range is $120,000 to $135,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
